Music Project (B.U.M.P.)
A Link to the Past; A Door to the Future
B.U.M.P. is the Historic Hampton House's new youth mentorship program. Youth participants will receive free music training, learn about the history of the Hampton House, and produce cultural activities for the community.
During the 2017/2018 school year, 10 students (grades 6-9) will be selected to receive free music training and history education from college students at the University of Miami and Florida International University. Mentorship sessions will be held on Saturday mornings from 9am-1pm. Participants will work closely with their mentors to plan and produce music performances and cultural exhibits for the community! Requirements to Apply
Be a Miami-Dade Public School student enrolled in 6th-9th grade during the 2017/2018 school year.
Be enrolled or plan on enrolling in your school’s music program.
Obtain parent/guardian permission to apply.
Submit a completed application.
Space is limited. Classes start September 16th, 2017.
